Do a search on tabletops and find Boffer's posts. He is the resident TT guru IMHO. I am construction challenged and use kits on cinderblocks. https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/t5250-i-m-making-progress-and-gardens#43850

So when are we going to see your boxes full of green and the new improvements that I'm sure you've thought of since you posted those pics?

If you move them while they are empty its not to bad. Those boxes are 2 ft x 8 ft long. Now if you try to move them after they have mels mix in them thats a different story. If you know you will need to move them later you could always put wheels on them. It would make the cost a little more but worth it not to break your back if you have to move them.
Not sure if you checked out the link in my signature. If not you might wanna look at it. It has lots of pictures in it as well.

Re: Table top gardens
Is this your first year doing melons or no?
i am confused because sfg way seems to say 1 per square foot but it looks like you have several clumped together in less than 1 sf... and I know I have seed packets that talk about having 2-5 plants per hill x feet apart.

Boffer Click this for your answer.-
This is my second year doing melons. There are two melons per square for the most part. My grand son might have put 3 or 4 in a couple of squares. The watermelons will have most of the trellis. A small portion will be used by the pumpkins. Also if need be the can run on the ground as well. I planted them in the back corner box just in case.
