All I Want for Christmas is...
- Potmaker
- Heat Mat
- Soil Block Maker
- More Heirloom Seeds (I have 5 different Tomatoes already)
That's just a start for me. What Garden/SFG items would you like for Christmas this year??

Re: All I Want for Christmas is...
I would like a voucher from each of my children and their spouses offering to spend a weekend at my house putting together boxes and helping me make Mels Mix.
And a small greenhouse would be nice to start seedlings. I bought one in England in 2001 to bring back to the US and used it in Chicago. However, it has not survived the 3 moves and being in storage since then. Frame broke and plastic split.

Oh! A greenhouse would be amazing! Or at the very least, a dedicated space for growing my seedlings. Space is an issue in my house. We definitely don't have enough of it.

Oh, I spied the most gorgeous greenhouse here this summer, and told hubby that's what I want for Christmas. Somehow I don't think he heard me.

I call that "selective hearing".
My ultimate Christmas garden gift would be a 4 season garden. I miss my SFG.

I don't know what I want for xmas. I have got a trowel and I am sure I am not going to ask for a pencil or a pair of scissors.

Re: All I Want for Christmas is...
Greenhouse would be the ultimate for me. I've been accumulating windows from craigslist and freecycle. I've got some lumber and plywood saved up for the frame and benches, but need more. Somehow I need to find an ultra-cheap solar panel big enough to run just a little heater for the winter and a big fan for the summer. Oh, and an automatic vent window with a thermostatic control, yeah, yeah, and a pump for the swamp cooler, and . . . . . ., hmm, maybe I better stop there.

I want my backyard to clean itself up. *Looks thoughtfully in hubby's direction....* Building new boxes would be nice, too. *Looks thoughtfully in hubby's direction....*

BTW, he wrote the most wonderful poem for the new SFG Contest. What? you have not heard about the new contest? Well, no wonder. It has not been anounced yet! Look for it soon.
God Bless, Ward and Mary.

Yep, it has the makings for a "well, let me think".
God Bless, Ward.

Not selective hearing

Hubby tells me his hearing is fine, but he is afflicted with "selective response".
For Christmas I would like a good vegetable scrub brush and an almanac gardening calendar.
