Hi
Hi!
I'm near you in Encinitas. I had read that we could plant a second round of summer veggies in September here but today I beleive it! Phew! July finally arrived. I did stick in a cucumber and a yellow squash just to see. The rest of mine are fall vegetables, though.
So what'd you plant?
Best of luck to you.
Ellen

Re: Hi from San Diego, CA
Welcome. I am in Winchester (near Murrieta/Temecula) and have just finished the summer season and working on the fall - in 105 degree weather! September is always the hottest!
I am sure you will love it. Remember there is not one month during the year that cannot plant something.
When you say urban do you mean apartment or house with yard?
Good luck!

I started some seed starters for tomato, cilantro, lettuce, sweet basil, onion, soybean, cucumber, and mustard greens.
Glad I found some mel mix at Lowes. I wasn't about to start mixing stuff and tryin to find stuff at the store.
I hope to have 2 4x4 and 3-4 fruit trees.
