Another tool in the war against bugs!
It has only taken 10 years to develop this weapon!

What, exactly, is the dog doing? Licking up the bugs or the bug eggs? Did she come to this on her own or did she watch you picking bugs and decided to help?

Any help has to be good in a garden where bug hunting is concerned.

She just sniffs her way around. Oddly enough she only sniffs zucchini and cucumbers. I think she pretending to look for bugs while getting her nose itched. But either way it makes her happy and makes me chuckle, and I'm sure it scares a couple bugs away.

Very funny! Maybe you need to grow her some loufa gourds so she can get a proper nose scratching!

If she is still hanging tough next season I will grow them just for her! She would love that (I never thought of it). She is slowing down a little bit, but she is still pretty frisky when it comes to rolling and getting a good scratch going. So after 11 yrs of loyal service and friendship the least I can do is grow her something to scratch on lol.
