Will my cucumber plant recover?
Came home today to see that chipmunks have eaten all my cucumber leaves!!! Will my plant recover and will I be able to harvest anything?? They also chewed off a few of my snap pea leaves but those were left in better condition than my cucumbers, guess chipmunks don't like the flavor of pea leaves, lol.
Help!! And any tips on deterring chipmunks? I have a cage built around the low veggies and now I'll have to cage off the rest of my box...here's a pic of whats left of my cucumber plant.

Re: Will my cucumber plant recover?
I think the plants can survive if you can get the critters away, they can still sprout new leaves. Whether or not you can still harvest depends on your area and the season. Where are you at?
Also I'm interested to hear from the others how to keep the critters away. Someone else posted a scarecrow sprinkler a while ago that might help, but I couldn't find the post.

thanks, I'm located in central NJ - reading some forums and it sounds like sprinkling cayenne pepper may work.....
