New to the forums
My name is Joe and this is my second year of doing a square foot garden. I live just west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Last year I had great success, but more importantly had a lot of fun with the method. My niece and nephew helped with the garden and being able to section off
squares for them to plant made it really easy to show them what to do.
Last year I had six simple beds, but we had so much fun that I tore them apart and built a much larger scale set of beds from scratch.
The grid type layouts and highly organized system appealed to my engineering obsessive compulsive nature. The fact that I could also use spreadsheets to track everything sealed the deal for me.
