Garden Bells! Hoe! Hoe! Hoe!
I won't say this idea works. I didn't get it from Mr. Internet. Just one of those ideas.
I noticed the critter in the yard tended to do most of its work along the fence. So I strung up some jingle bells, which are apparently on sale this time of the year. The idea is that the tingling noise will make the critter nervous, since it could alert neighborhood predators.
At least it makes the garden festive.

Any port in a storm. How creative we become when trying to protect our gardens from the critters.
Now if you can help me to get rid of my groundhogs, I am all ears.
Trapped a raccoon in the cage, had already caught him once, white paint on his rear, Didn't have the heart to dispatch him after he looked up at me with those little sad eyes. Wound up taking him 8 miles away to our local state park and dropped him off at one of the busier gazebos. I thought he wouldn't starve there, people are slobs.
