Tropical Storm Hilary

Re: Tropical Storm Hilary
The heart of the storm tracked practically through our backyard. It took down one of the tall Kales and I'll have to decide whether to guy it back up.
We got, I guess, an inch of water or so. I have several barrels of water I need to sequester to the backyard. But outside of that, it wasn't the worst storm we've had (which would have been the wind storm of 2017). And since I made frozen pizza, I didn't get hit by any pizza boxes.

Re: Tropical Storm Hilary
We got the tail end of Tropical Storm Hilary this morning, starting at 4:15am. The weather service clocked the wind at 61 mph, and areas all around us received between 2" and 4" of rain. During the peak of the storm, I got up and used the phone bluetooth app to turn off the drip irrigation system that was set to start watering at 6:00am. Since vegetables need 1" or rain a week, they should be good for the next month.
