Early heat wave this week throughout the Midwest. I'll have to do my watering before daylight this week.
Stay KOOL Ya'll.............
Today
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 103. South wind 7 to 9 mph.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 76.
Monday
Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 99. Heat index values as high as 110. South wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Re: HEAT wave coming.
Same for use here in Ohio. Rain today & tomorrow, and then Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are projected to be near100ºF. Then it is supposed to drop down in the the mid-80's, which is our normal temp for this time of the year. I haven't set up the drip irrigation system yet, so I'd better get moving.

I mowed and left my hose (my drip irrigation system) in place! It was supposed to have rained overnight but didn’t. Heat coming!

We got 1.25" rain last night, and it is raining again this afternoon. There are some thunderstorms heading our way, so anything is possible tonight. But, they are threatening temps in the high 90's starting Tuesday.

I can't do hot and muggy. Hot and dry for 15 minutes, but not the kind of east of the Rockies heat you guys get. We got the sunshade up before we hit 104*F for 2 days. Mother Nature getting us hardened off of the coming 110*F this summer.
Re: HEAT wave coming.
We're not used to this kind of heat this time of year. We've been cooking outside under the shade tree on the grill so we don't heat the house up. Going out tomorrow morning about 5:30 and fry up some freshly dug potatoes with eggs, peppers and garden Vidalia onions.

About 1:30 pm, when it's shady under the big Maple tree, I sit out there with a cold bottle of Bud Light Lime and just look over the garden and listen to the birds sing to me. God is GOOD.
