And she already has issues with it anyway. I'd MUCH rather they be safe than we be sorry!
Re: Update on Marie's mom
Mom was supposed to have a procedure this morning to see what's going on with her bladder. She was in a-fib & they were unable to bring it under control. Her cardiologist told us to take her to the er.
She was admitted this afternoon. They will probably shock her heart tomorrow to bring it back into correct rhythm. And we may be looking at a pacemaker.
I'll check in when I can. We should have more info tomorrow.

Re: Update on Marie's mom
Hoping that her rhythm can be stabilized and that the bladder problem is minor and fixable.
Re: Update on Marie's mom
Her heart went back into normal rhythm & we got her sprung late yesterday afternoon. No shocking, thankfully. I ended up staying with her last night & found that she has intermittent sleep apnea. I suggested she ask her cardio folks if that could trigger the a-fib.
She's going to work on rescheduling the bladder procedure & then we'll see what all still needs to be done for her.
Thanks for the prayers, well wishes, positive thoughts & good vibes!!

Yeah, a nurse friend said the same thing to me last night. THANK YOU for confirming it again. I figured this would be the case.
Re: Update on Marie's mom
Morning! Talked to mom. She's found a bp cuff that will apparently detect irregular heartbeats. And we're going to try the bladder examination again next week.
Re: Update on Marie's mom
Thanks for the update, Marie.
I was scrolling through this thread on a touch screen, and accidentally "cast a vote." I have no idea what I voted for, so please disregard if it was something negative.![Embarassed](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_redface.gif)

Just thinking of you and your mom, Marie, and up comes a notification. Good to see that she found a cuff that will give her a warning. ![I love you](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/herz.png)

Re: Update on Marie's mom
Well, with Pres. Trump extending the stay-at-home request last night, I'm guessing Mom's latest appointments are going to be pushed out again. She's now hoping to have the hysterectomy/whatever else they need to do done by summer.
Just got off the phone with her. She's in good spirits, knitting away & working on her birthday cards.

Re: Update on Marie's mom
Thanks, y'all. Me too! Thankfully she's the type who looks for the positive in everything.
Of course, that also means she tends to ignore anything negative & hopes it just goes away, lol.....

Re: Update on Marie's mom
Talked to mom yesterday. No update on doctor's appointments....
She actually got to hang out with a couple of friends the other day. Mom's got a flat driveway, so they set up chairs & just sat & talked for a couple of hours. They kept about 9 feet apart apparently. One of them brought dinner & plants for mom & the other friend.
We've decided to try to do our annual "Mother's Day/my birthday/hubby's birthday/our anniversary THING" later in the month. Maybe, lol. We'll see, lol.

So far, we've missed 2 birthdays, Easter, and now Mother's Day coming up. When this is over, we'll have a whole lot of partying to catch up on.

Re: Update on Marie's mom
Went up to see mom for the 1st time since mid-March yesterday. She's doing really well. Happy that our governor lifted the shelter-in-place orders the other day! Her activities are all doing a slow re-open, but at least they're opening & she can hang out more with her friends.
I was very pleased with what I saw. She hasn't lost any more weight. Her left leg is still swelling a bit during the day, but it's not bad. Working hard on her knitting. I could see various projects she's been working on.
Now to just get the rest of her needed procedures done.... Next doctor appointment is July 2.
