Re: Pesto
It was pesto that recently prompted me to buy a food processor, even though I have no place to store it....

Re: Pesto
My first time making Pesto. The only reason I grow basil is because it smells so good in the garden. This time, I made some red walnut pesto from a recipe I came across on a recipe site.

Re: Pesto
It’s a game-changer. I use my brother’s recipe using pine nuts. I have some frozen from last year and it’s fine! I do the ice cube tray thing.

Re: Pesto
At least one is for my DDIL so I went ahead and put the pesto in the little fancy jars. I imagine pine nuts give it a different taste, but the red walnuts were on hand.

Sorry, I should have included that! We used the VitaMix, but the recipe could also be used with a food processor. Here is the recipe we used with our VitaMix: Pesto Sauce Recipe - VitaMix

Re: Pesto
Never heard of Kale Pesto, but might have to try this recipe next time we have some fresh Kale ready to pick. The little guy in the video seems to love it!
It is the same recipe I use for Basil Pesto, but substituting Kale for the Basil and added Nutritional Yeast (which I have never used).
