Cantalopes a-falling
The other day I posted a picture of my, "new to me" dehydrator, in the picture there was a small cantaloupe setting on the countertop and I mentioned that sense it was so small, about the size of a softball I didn't think it would be any good, Well I'm happy to say, Boy was I Wrong, It was delicious I almost waited to long to try it was a little overripe but still good. Sense then I've had three more fall off the vine about the same size just about the right for two people. The seed was from Burpee Honey Rock, I just tried checking them out on line at Burpee's website to find out how big there supposed to be and got no results so it must be discontinued. I will save some seed for next spring.

From my Google searches, honey rock fruit should be between 3 and 4 pounds. Couldn't find a diameter listed.

I googled 'Honey Rock Melon diameter' and got this from sustainableseedco.com/Honey-Rock-Melon-Seed.html, but it only showed up in the google searh results and not on the web page :
Honey Rock melon produces incredibly sweet fruits that are up to six inches in diameter with a tough, coarsely netted skin.
