Just went out back to play with the dog, We're having a cool windy day here it's only 65* well the ball went into the garden so I went to retrieve it and found these on the ground. It's my first year growing ground cherries so I don't know if there fully ripe yet. I have three plants loaded with fruit

The two with the tan, papery husks look ripe to me.  They will ripen up off the plant, too.  Try them!  I can't wait to hear what you think, I adore them.  Last year was my first year growing or hearing of them!

I have 3 baby plants for this year....gonna put them on my deck, and on a table.  They are a low grower, and I had trouble seeing them because the beds are low.

Delicious! I have Two in a well shaded part of a bed, They are about 3' tall and 3' wide they were competing with my Spaghetti Squash and were holding there own, I have one in another bed it gets more sun it's only about 1' high and 2' wide, They sure don't think much of the 12" square I gave them or there neighbors. But they taste Good.
