Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
An 8" Muncher cucumber that appeared while I was out of town. No photo as it went into a salad last night.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Walking onion sauteed with oregano infused pork chops. Second half of the Muncher cucumber in a salad. How can anyone not love what can be grown in the backyard?
Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
A few leaves of spinach (first time ever growing it), a couple green ice lettuce leaves, parsley and beet tops from thinning the squares. Nothing spectacular, but I am happy to have anything from my garden at this point.

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
You can't look at those greens without knowing that it will do you good to eat them. So fresh, not limp and droopy like the ones you buy at the store. I'm not a vegetarian, but I've always eaten LOTS of fruit and vegetables, and everything I read says that a plant based diet is the healthiest, and fresh from your own garden...nothing better than that. Beautiful greens!!!BlackjackWidow wrote:A few leaves of spinach (first time ever growing it), a couple green ice lettuce leaves, parsley and beet tops from thinning the squares. These are 2 of my favorite things! And I grow neither. Congratulations.
Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Aww! So many nice comments and supportive for everyone! New and old, I ate a few bolting lettuce leaves, and stole a strawberry from a transplant I bought at a greenhouse!

1. Sauteed yellow squash and Dragon Tongue and Blue Lake bush beans. 2. Oregano on the pork chops 3. Muncher cucumber in the salad.
It is starting to feel like summer when I can eat something from the garden.

I've been eating survivors, weeds, and volunteers. (Bolting over-wintered cabbage-family plants; lamb's quarters and chickweed; miners lettuce, mache, lettuce, and mustard greens.)

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
Well, not much ready except for a lot of lettuces: Black Seeded Simpson, Yugoslavian Red, Bibb, Paris Cos Romaine, and Buttercrunch. One broccoli and my sugar snap peas (I eat them before I get back into my house since Hubby doesnt like them).haha. Also, lots of flowers on my various tomatoes.
Re: What are you eating from your garden today?
My niece and I pulled all the radishes up from the carrot and parsnip bed. We got two gallons of French Breakfast radishes. Breakfast this morning is home grown eggs, chives and radishes on sourdough toast.

Making a chicken stir-fry with garlic scapes, red mustard greens, the last of last year’s garlic, and store bought other stuff.
Cleaning some lettuce for the week ahead!
Won’t be long until sugar snaps; there are peas on there, but they aren’t fleshed out quite yet.
