We got invaded with millions of aphidsI tried to use soapy water to kill them off but they just asked for a bath sponge & some mood music to go with it .

Sautéed patty pans with the last garlic from last year. And my first cuke, I think it was Chicago pickling, very good but not as good as my Beit alpha which I didn’t [;ant this year. Tasty! No pics...

Re: What are you eating from your garden today?

In my dreams!

Son, Ed, brought these to us this morning. This was from his mil's garden. They live on the river, which gives them a more moderate climate. Judy started her garden a whole month later than I did, and these are just her leftovers for this week. Not only are they beautiful, her tomatoes are always the sweetest and most tender we've ever tasted.

We'd be feeling like poor relatives right now, except that we sent him back with 2 dozen eggs from our free-range chickens. The only difference between this morning and pioneer days is that Ed wasn't driving a horse & buggy for this farmers' swap.

Time to make some more zucchini bread. The tomatoes will go into juice and salads.

Delicious dinner from the garden today - Stuffed Green Pepper, Corn on the Cob, Summer Squash Saute, and a salad of fresh lettuce, perpetual spinach, green onions, radishes, cucumber, and peppers.

I made "sausage" for breakfast this morning, using ground turkey with home-grown sage and other seasonings. Following that will be a serving of mixed berries.
I've been eating fresh Black Tartarian cherries lately, the first ever from my garden. Will probably have a small salad this evening with several types of lettuce.

Zucchini sautéed and a cuke (I think it is a muncher—my first!).
