pepper plant problem
Hi to all SFGers. I am a beginner gardener and am loving it!
I have a 2x4 TT garden and everything was growing steadily when I recently noticed that the leaves of my Anaheim pepper plant started drooping like its wilthing (if thats the right description). Today, I saw 3 buds turned brown and fell off the plant. What could I be doing wrong? I can take a picture if that would help....

Pictures help
Hi there and welcome! Glad you found this site and the forums! Lots of great people here with lots of experience!
If you can take a picture and post it, they would be helpful. There's probably someone that knows what's going on with your pepper, but seeing the actual plant could help when giving you an answer.
Take care!

Re: pepper plant problem
Could you be watering the plant too much? Also, could the plant have been exposed to cold? Peppers can die quickly if the temperature is too low.

Pepper plant problem
I've had the problem in the past of flower buds dropping off of my pepper plants, even tiny peppers dropping off. The only thing I could figure at the time was they were getting too hot so I covered them the best I could with a big umbrella. Don't know if it helped or not. I hope someone out there does have experience with this sort of thing so you AND I can get some answers.

Pepper plant problem
Oh! I didn't know that either.
Thanks for the link. I do think my problems was the heat. It was a very hot summer.

Sorry about that. I was @ work and someone walked in needing my attention immediately.
Yes, in my post above is a link to a good fact sheet on peppers. Here is the link again.

Re: pepper plant problem
I've had the same problems, both with my Anaheim and bell peppers. Haven't figured it out yet, other than possibly high temperatures.

Re: pepper plant problem
These are all heavy feeders, requiring a lot of nutrients in the garden. add some compost around the plant and till in lightly then topdress with more. You could give them a boost with a liquid mixture. Recommendations are to test your soil before adding fertilizer, so you know what the deficiencies are. Follow label directions.
