Hello from Southwest Indiana
I've been using the square foot garden book since the '80s but just now joined the page. I've lived in Southwest Indiana around Evansville all my life. An area where in the summer if the temp is over 90° there will be a matching humidity. We now have an urban garden going with food not lawn movement. I was raised in the country so have been gardening all my life.

Gibschmitt ... Welcome to the forum from Ottawa Canada.
We are happy to have you with us. There is a wealth of information on the forum. Please feel free to ask questions and share your thoughts with us.
It sounds like you may be using the old style SFG. Do you have the All New SFG book? The new system includes many improvements.

Re: Hello from Southwest Indiana
Hey Gib! Ohio here! I am glad you are on our forum! I am sure we can learn from each other as we do the garden thing!
So, tell us your plans; new digs? Now in town versus country? Very different experience from my perspective. I did the old school SFG in the late 80s, very successful. Moved to the country, and traditional row gardening Rodale style.
It was like Guns N Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" by late July....ugh. Every year....
Now back in suburbia; I have a 4x4 and a mishmash of other containers that give me tons of great yields!

Hi Gibschmitt. Welcome from Atlanta, GA! Glad you've joined our party.
I like the food not lawn movement. If hubby would let me, that's what I would do with our 1/2 acre. (It's a work in progress. I'm sure I'll get him there eventually, lol.)
We like pictures. And there's a TON of info in the search engine. Just type in what you're interested in and off you go....
