I was thinking more of weeds and invasive plants.

CapeCoddess, They didn't have one that said, "Compost Your Friends" because by the harvested produce you would know if they were good friends or bad friends. Two gardeners sitting and talking, "he didn't do much for me when he was alive, but look now". Seriously though. I am looking at Composting as third in line in Final Solutions behind burial and cremation. Being bagged up with the Tag on the Bag, "Grow With Grandpa" brings a smile to my face.

Re: Senseless Banter...
Saturday we went to Home Depot for the garden to buy lumber for new beds, replacements for failed starts and composts. I wore tennis, Levis, a plaid flannel shirt and a gardening hat. Three different people asked if I worked there! I said no, but could I help them anyway. And, I did. Amazing how much knowledge one absorbs from this group over the years.
Re: Senseless Banter...
I bet that felt good, sanderson. You do a great job on this Forum, so you have had quite a bit of practice.

Did you see the sign on your way in that said, "We're now hiring!"?

Re: Senseless Banter...
Sanderson, awhile ago I took an on-line course from a Californian University to get a certificate to sell pesticides at the retail level in California. I have the certificate around here somewhere. I got a "train the trainer certificate" for The Spotted Lanternfly from Penn State this year. They sent me an auto tag for the mirror like the one for the handicapped but says Spotted Lanternfly Trainer. It is nice now that I am retired to put the finishing touches on my resume. Which oddly enough had nothing to do with agriculture or horticulture.

Retirement means doing what you really wanted to do. I loved my job, but now I have time to piddle around the garden, the Forum, and pretend to work for gardening departments.
