Can I tell what year a post was made?

When going back in the archives, is there a way to see what year the post was made?

Yes. I think it is controlled by your preferences. Go to Profile, Preferences Tab, and at the very bottom it says something like Date Format. Change the date format to the way you want to see the date displayed on older posts.

I cannot locate that option. It allows me to decide how the current date is described only.

That date also controls how it is viewed on every post prior to today's date. Try it, you will like it.

I had that problem as well, scorpio, and had to get help with it. I was answering posts made years ago. Very Happy

However, some of the old posts are good, and instead of starting a new topic on an old subject, housekeeping-wise, it's good to just pick it up again.

Lol, me too! And I agree, some threads are really good and you just need to bump,with your particular question or comment! But it helps to see the year!

Here is a photo showing my time zone and date format. Go to Profile and select Preferences. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
