worms for Christmas
I got one of my Christmas gifts early: I got red earth worms for the garden! Yes, my Honey knows me well and had worms overnighted from PA. They immediately went to the garden; their new home. I sure hope they do well! It'll be interesting to see how well this variety does in South Florida.
They were ordered from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm

Re: worms for Christmas
What a wonderfully romantic gift (only someone who loves to put their hands in the garden dirt would think so!)
My honey "gets" me too, it's such a wonderful thing

Dstack, wonderful!
My husband scratched his head. But I told him that if you get a bag of worms, and you garden, especially in table tops / containers, it's a wonderful, thoughtful gift.

Exactly! It doesn't sound "romantic", as Audrey put it, but it sure was a "wonderful and thoughtful gift" Sanderson.

One thing you can say about that gift -- it wasn't a thoughtless generic one! It was well-tailored to you.
The gifts that show somebody was really thinking about what you like are often the best ones.

Re: worms for Christmas
Dstack, Love your Christmas avatar. Marc and Audrey, Agree with the thoughtfulness of it.
Re: worms for Christmas
LOL, some of your friends may scratch their heads too. But it's suited for YOU and that's a wonderful present from your honey!
Sounds like a keeper, DStack!
Let us know how they do in their new home...!

Re: worms for Christmas
My DH's family thought it weird one Christmas when he bought me a wheelbarrow and put it next to the Christmas Tree.
Even though he is long gone, I think of him every time I wheel it around and thank him for his thoughtfulness. The wheelbarrow has lasted 18 years to date, and looks to last another 18 years.
