I hope those jumpers remember where their patio furniture, clothes line poles and other impaling paraphernalia were before they all got covered in that pretty blanket of snow...

Most, if not all,of those jumpers are young people whose brains have not yet deleloped something called "imagination".sanderson wrote:Yes!mollyhespra wrote:I hope those jumpers remember where their patio furniture, clothes line poles and other impaling paraphernalia were before they all got covered in that pretty blanket of snow...
I suffered from it when I was a teen and rode my motorbike through the country lanes at quite a high speed. I would never, ever, do anything like that now. I do know how they feel but I doubt they will listen.

I hadn't thought about all the hidden impaling items in the snow!

new teacher
I thought some of you would like to hear about the new school teacher .
A new teacher had arrived at the local school and it was customary for the kids to give new teacher a little prezzie .
The florists kiddy gave a big bunch of flowers
The green grocers son gave a basked of fruit & veg
The sweet shop owner's daughter gave the teacher a pretty box of chocolates.
The pub landlords son brought up a big, heavy box.
The teacher
lifted it up and noticed that it was leaking a little bit…She touched a drop
of the liquid with her finger and tasted it.
"Is it wine?" she guessed.
"No," the boy replied.
She tasted another drop and asked, "Champagne ?"
"No," said the little boy............."It's a puppy!"

Re: Senseless Banter...
Well, I am currently breaking in a new laptop. The one thing I really HATE is that when I have read a post here on the forum it does not change color in the Latest Topics list so I keep checking posts that I can't remember if I have read (CRS Syndrome).
Heading to Albuquerque for the first time EVER! I have a 1-week training for work, but I should have some time to do some sight-seeing as well.

Re: Senseless Banter...
I know what you mean, GG when a new laptop or whatever does not do the same thing that your previous model did.
My beef is that when I get an email notification that there is another post on a subject I have posted on, the email showed the blue link and I just had to click on it and get straight to SFG.
I have no idea why it does not do that anymore, so I have to remember what the links are and then hope I do not miss any of them.
Other emails still show blue links but not SFG. Possibly some one may know if it can be fixed.

OK Goosegirl, I resisted for all of ten minutes. I assume you will remember to turn left in Albuquerque?
And watch out for ACME anvils while you're in the desert...
(Anyone who doesn't get the reference needs to watch more Looney Tunes cartoons from the 50s, especially Knighty Night Bugs)

Lunar Eclipse
Partial lunar eclipse in central Ohio this morning. Our friends in CA and Japan saw a full eclipse. This was taken out my back window about 6:50 a.m. EST

Don't feel bad about the cloud cover, the east coast was not going to see this mornings eclipse anyway.

Put September 28th 2015 on your calendar. It'll be the last one for quite awhile!

senseles banter
Thanks for the joke Plantoid!!
Two of my friends and I were able to see the eclipse from 1:58 to 2:05 am, standing in the 54 degree chill and watching through some light clouds. Had to be there from 1:46 am to 2:15 to be sure I saw it all.
