New to SFG, I decided to dive into the deep end, and also started seeds inside this year. I have some ready to transplant, but I'm trying to decide if I separate to bigger pots and wait, or transplant directly into the garden bed.

I am sure it depends on what I have (I have a bit of everything, zuccini, carrot, basil, peas ...) ...

Hi brownthumb,
At this point in the season I think it would be safe to transplant directly into the garden. Depending on where exactly you are in the lower south the dates may be a bit off one way or another but in general - any time after April 1 is safe for warm weather crops. I say get 'em in the garden - then post some pics so the rest of us can see your set up.
Best of luck!

Well, here's the mess ... I do have marks that you can't see indicating 12" - this picture was taken before the string was added. You also cant tell, but there's a good 6-8 inches from the house bump out and the box --- I may scoot it out even more to give the plants in the back some extra room, but so far nothing giant is in the ground (the cucumbers / zucs are still in the seed packet).

Thanks for the advice!

Looking good. Post some more pics once it's planted and things are growing. Smile
