My Chesnok Red garlic has shipped from Filaree Garlic Farm and should arrive Friday. Time to prep the garlic box!

I hope there's some left when I go to order. Though I won't be planting it until Halloween.

Order now from Filaree and they will ship later for you.  I ordered mine 2 months ago for shipment closer to planting time (to make sure what I wanted was available).  Doesn't go in here until mid- to late-October either.

I'm using German Red garlic held back from this summers harvest.  Think it'll get  planted over the weekend which is about a month early like I mistakenly planted last year.  The little green leaves poked through the autumn layer of brown leaves, ice and snow.  Hope this works again.  I'd feel much better getting these first time harvested bulbs, rather cloves, back into the ground asap.

Funny thing about garlic, the more I have, the more I use!  Can see myself already rationing it so it will last till next summer. Ended up with around 60 bulbs which is incredible to me with just two of us.  In the old store bought days I estimate it may have taken 3 years to use that much with 4 in the household.  Never expected to enjoy so many uses for this stuff.

Early Italian is coming soon.  Ordered from Amazon.  Every other vendor either could not ship to GA or they did not have it at all.  I can't wait to have my first go at garlic!!
