Fall Planting Mistake
I didn't do my math to figure out maturity dates before doing my fall planting. Everything I planted was from seed. Based on using the date on the ground as the starting point for maturity, I realize I should have started my broccoli, iceberg lettuce, and cauliflower in July. Based on the planting date, it looks like they won't be done until November, well past my frost date.
Should I pull them out and replace these squares with more carrots, turnips, beets, lettuce and spinach? I have 13 squares in play, so there is an opportunity for a significant harvest veggies that are not my favorties if I make a switch vs. zero production of my favorite foods.
Next year I'll plan better for a fall garden and get spring crops started sooner!

My guess is you will still have success with what you planted. I do not recommend pulling them. You may well lose the lettuce at frost, but the brassicas will continue to grow. Cell division continues at temperatures above 36 degrees F.

Here's what I would do. I would leave what's planted and try out fall covers. That way if I mess up again in the future I will know how to make it work.

I guess I'll roll with it. I'll keep my fingers crossed and my eye on the weather forecast. Meanwhile, I'll investigate covers for when it gets chilly.
I'll post pictures -- vegetable gardening in the fall -- such an alien concept for a kid from New York.
