Fall planting
I'm new to SFG and have already learned some important lessons to make next year's better. I'm interested in learning more about fall planting. I live in Upstate SC. What can I plant for fall? Am I too late now?
Since I don't have the book handy (right now, though I do have a copy at home, ...where I'm not), would anyone care to give me any hints/tips for a fall garden?

I'll take a look at those links, and some others I've found, and the book when I get home this evening.
In the meantime, what's the thinking on cover crops for squares/boxes that aren't going to be used?

Re: Fall planting
For me cover crops are a no-no. I just don't want to do all that work of turning the cover crop over by hand. It's great in a row garden where you can use a machine to do all the work. I concentrate on building a good diversified compost pile then adding the compost to the beds, making them ready to go.bwaynef wrote:In the meantime, what's the thinking on cover crops for squares/boxes that aren't going to be used?
