What to plant for the fall?
Howdy guys! I am a contractor working overseas. I will finally be going home permanently at the end of the month. My wife started 1 4x4 (6 inches deep) SFG, (our first ever), and it did so-so. We looked at it as more of a learning experience than an actual attempt to get a bumper crop! While I was home on vacation last month I built the frames for 2 others. Another 4x4x6 and a 4x4 that is 12 inches deep. What can we plant in these for the fall. We live in Houston so we will still have mild weather for a while.

to the forum.
It's getting late and kinda quite right now. You might look at the regional forum for Huston: https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/f11-coastal-tropical-south
and this thread in particular:

I'm sure you'll enjoy being able to garden nearly year 'round.

Thanks for the replies guys!
Lots of good info there. I can't wait to get home and start working on our other SFG's. I have about 17 days left and I'm finally out of here...Afghanistan.
We're really looking forward to the Spring after we've gotten some more experience under our belts.
