Garlic and Onions
Braiding onions in a similar fashion to softneck garlic.
Another method of stringing onions begins at 9:15.
Clearly more fun with friends!

Re: Garlic and Onions
We did that with our Georgia Sweet onions a couple of months ago...works GREAT! I just did it for "something to do" and thought it would look cool. It has really worked out great, they hang on the patio, and when we need onions, just go out the back door!

Re: Garlic and Onions
The onions the women of Onion Growers Society of Dornava are using some type of flat onion and using a regular braid, but but plait a few rows before adding another onion, which keeps them all in a single line.
After a bit of research, I have found this is the type of onion they grow in their region.
