Record Low Temps in the Northeast
There's a very interesting feature found at www.wundergound.com/caster that provides a handy table of weather and geological events, including earthquakes, major storms, record high and low temperatures, etc.
Here are a few examples of record low temperatures for this week:
07/24 Bennington, VT: 48
Clearfield, PA: 48
Altoona, PA: 51
Plattsburg, NY: 50
07/25 Highgate, VT: 50
07/26 Highgate, VT: 50
While I realize that these are not startlingly low temps, still, they are records for the date. Many areas also posted record highs.
I think it's important to look for patterns, if any, to decipher the probable course of climate change. I'm currently also casually following Arctic ice melts, sunspot activity, ocean temps and currents, etc.

Donna, I can't get your above link to work even if I cut and paste it. I think it's getting hi-jacked.

Okay. You might try going to www.wunderground.com. Scroll to the right and down a bit, and you'll see world weather events listed. Beneath that is a link to the table.

Re: Record Low Temps in the Northeast
I haven't been tracking temps in the Lower South. There have been some record lows in the Northeast, though.

55 here last night; not a record but definitely not typical July weather!

Re: Record Low Temps in the Northeast
Can you guys send a little cool weather to Central California? Still 100* or more, very uncomfortable with the unhealthy pollution levels.
