Germination speed
I cannot believe the speed of seed germination and the vigor of the little green beasties.
I planted 4 pots with Mel's recipe and 1 control pot of planting soil with some additional moss and fertilizer . All of the Mel pots had the fastest (within 2 days!) and the strongest baby plants I have ever had. The control pot took 5 to 7 days and has thin, wispy, weak looking tiny things coming up.
My family thinks I have a miraculous green thumb (ha!). It ain't me. I just followed the tips and the formula as best as I could (4 of 5 composts).

What is the temperature of the soil when at night it drops to 50 and 80 during the day .

That would depend upon things in your local environment like dewpoint and win and make up of the soil.. For accuracy, use a digital thermometer to measure the temperature of your growing medium.murarrie25 wrote:What is the temperature of the soil when at night it drops to 50 and 80 during the day .
