What happened to the forum ? The whole thing is grey with blue bars now is the sever down ??

I saw what you are describing earlier today when I was trying to access the SFG Forum on my android phone. There was a button 'Classic Version' and it brought me to the web forum as we know it.
I don't know what it was all about, but there has been some tweaking of the software by Forumation the past several weeks.

Oh! Good call camprn. That didn't even cross my mind.
If you're accessing from a phone, that blue and grey looking forum is actually the default mobile version. Like camp suggested, select classic and everything will appear normal. From your device, you can check this out by going to the very bottom of the index page and selecting mobile version on the right hand side.

Hey Boog, haven't seen you around much this year. How's your garden?
Same thing happened to me with my android tablet. Drove me crazy till I clicked the classic version button in desperation. Right after that someone on the forum (Camprn maybe) suggested it. What a difference.

I'm still around
I'm working 10 hour days during the week and 8 hours both days on the weekend haven't had a day off sence Memorial Day next day off is July 4 the garden got put on the back burner pretty much. Have only a couple tomato plants and a chum comber plant.
