No, I've never taken pictures of it. It is not very attractive or camera ready - just an old 60's pinkish beige bathtub with a piece of plywood on top held down by a couple cement blocks - so, I never thought of taking any pictures of it. Maybe when I set it up again for the summer, I might actually take a picture or two...
Here, though, is the old video that caused me to conceive such an idea. Mine is smaller and less elaborate, but the same idea.

Re: Starbucks for coffee grounds!
Visited 4 different Starbucks stores this afternoon, and came home with a Jeep full of coffee grounds. One of the stores commented that they have had to throw a lot of their coffee grounds into the dumpster since no one has picked them up - I told her we must fix that, and told her to call me if they had grounds that no one picked up. Meanwhile, I needed some grounds to spread on some new flower beds as well as a couple of the newly planted raised beds. I love going out the morning after scattering coffee grounds on the soil and seeing all of the holes where nightcrawlers have come up to grab coffee grounds and pull them down into the soil.
This wheelbarrow is 6Ft3, and it is nearly full of coffee grounds from today's run...

That is awesome!
I need to start hitting them up again. In the past it has been very rare to get any though.

Stopped by 3 Starbucks cafes on the way home today, and brought home a lot of coffee grounds! All 3 shops said they haven't had anyone pick them of for a few days (probably due to the heat advisory we have been under for 4 days), and they were glad to get rid of them. Over 300# of coffee grounds. Not sure where I will put all of them, they will all get good use.

Yeah, they are so high on caffeine that they are up all night!

My supply of Starbucks coffee grounds has been stopped for the duration of the coronavirus lockdown. Starbucks has changed to drive-thru only until further notice. I called one of the local stores to ask if they will be able to still make the grounds available, and was told, "no, that has been suspended to minimize person-to-person contact."

Re: Starbucks for coffee grounds!
I collected all coffee grinds I could at my local Starbucks. I'll guess a total of 800 lbs. I made a special bin for them, saved till I wanted to add to main piles.. It was amazing the amount of worms gathered there over time. I have photo's, however they aren't handy now..Gonna need to get my photo's out of mothballs.

I put them in the compost tumbler, where they quickly compost down.

It is amazing how fast the worms find the coffee grounds. I can sprinkle the grounds on top of the beds, and if I go out at night with a flashlight I will find nightcrawlers out searching for the grounds to eat.

Re: Starbucks for coffee grounds!
Yesterday I called a local Starbucks to ask if they might have any coffee grounds I could pick up, and the guy said they had two days worth saved up that I could get. So, I drove down to pick them up. After removing the filters and miscellaneous junk, I had a 6 cu ft wheelbarrow nearly full of used coffee grounds. Refreshed all of the raised beds with them, and put the rest of them in the compost bin. There will be some happy worms tonight feasting on coffee grounds....

Re: Starbucks for coffee grounds!
I find that my coffee filters don't compost for quite a long while if I don't dry them and tear them into small strips.
If only I could obtain greens as easily.... At least a neighbor may be willing to supply some mowed grass.

I compost all of the filters that come with the grounds in one of three ways - throw them in the compost tumbler, throw them in the worm bin, or dig a hole and bury them in one of the raised beds - and, regardless of the method they decompose quickly.
One of the greatest sources of greens for my compost tumblers comes from a juice bar that saves the pulp for me. I also have a neighbor that juices, and she brings her pulp over to dump in the tumbler. I have to add pine pellets to provide enough browns to offset the greens.

This book has a great selection of material that
can be used in compost.

Re: Starbucks for coffee grounds!
Vermicomposting at its best, Jimmy! They did all the work, and you got all of the benefits.
Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment about 3 blocks away from Starbucks, so I'll have more grounds to bring home afterwards. I called Starbucks this morning, and she said they'd save them for me and will have my name on them so they won't go elsewhere.
