Neon yellow eggs in my zucchini and nasturtiums
Hello all,
Today I was out tending to my seedlings and made a disturbing discovery. At the base of the stems of my zucchini were these bright yellow, almost neon yellow, eggs. They freaked my out, so I immediately removed them.
Then, I noticed some of the same eggs in the hanging planter I am using for our nasturtium seedlings. (I plan on letting them hang from the planter is a nice cascade.)
Well, I did a google image search using "neon yellow insect eggs" as my query. I came up with this:
http://www.easttennesseewildflowers.com/gallery/index.php/Beetles_Bugs/Copy_of_Insect_eggs_001
These eggs look very similar to the ones I found today. Now I feel awful. I can't be certain that they were lady bug eggs, but if they were, that would have been really nice.
Does anyone else have any experience with bright yellow insect eggs? I am wondering if they could have been something bad after all...
Thanks all!

I know... I thought about that after the fact
Hey there FamilyGardening,
Thanks so much for responding to my post. You know what? Long after I had done away with the eggs... I thought, "Hmmm... I really should have photographed those."
Doh!! If this happens again, I will remember to do that! I posted this time because I wasn't sure if this was a pretty unique colored egg that could easily be associated with a specific insect.
Thanks again for posting a response.
