Radish and beets. Spring/fall or summer too?
Reading the SFG it says that you can grow these crops pretty much from the time you can get into your garden in spring until the first freeze in fall. However I've also came across things saying they are not summer crops. I would like to try and "stage" these by planting four radish at a time, one week apart. This to me makes me think I should have four radish bulbs every week after the initial 21-25 days them to mature.

I grew them all 3 seasons, but they didn't make rounded roots in the fall, so I ate the leaves.
