Spring/Fall Crops in Summer
This is my first time doing SFG as well as a major garden. I was hoping to stagger some of my lettuce, pea, and broccoli plantings throughout the year to have a continuous supply. I live in zone 4 and was wondering if I could plant these crops throughout summer. I have planned to place them North of some vine crops to shade them. Will this work or should I just stick to spring and fall plantings.

spring/fall in summer
If you can determine approximately how long your days over 80 are, that will help determine if those will do ok during the summer. They don't like the high/dry heat that summer brings. You might be able to aid this with the use of shade cloth on those sunniest/hottest days.
Another idea would be to plant several varieties of some of them, as some are more heat tolerant and in the case of brocolli, take longer to mature.
planting them in shade from other veggies is fine, but make sure you're not planting them next to something that they shouldn't be planted around. A couple of bad combos is peas next to onions/garlic/leeks/shallots or brocolli next to pole beans.
