WOW! Not far out when I said my British Gallon = 10 pounds weight in water.

I have another question; Is the US lb any different from the British lb

I wonder, if we ever get
"The New World Order" will all our weights and measures be standardised?

I miss our Imperial measures but I expect the youngsters nowadays have little knowledge of them. I remember when someone phoned me at my store and asked for a packet of paper that measured  ?cms x ?cms and I had to measure my paper to find that it was 8 1/2" x 11". If the USA had not kept inches then we would all be metric.

PS Sorry for going OFF TOPIC, songstress.  So easy to do.
