Steel fence posts for trellis
The book recommends using 3' steel fence posts instead of rebars to make a really strong trellis (p.151). I want to do this since I have pumpkin and squash growing. I don't know where to find the posts or what they look like, though. If anyone has used these and could give me some pointers, that would be great!

Re: Steel fence posts for trellis
Just on a whim, I looked it up on Amazon instead of Google. Is this it?

Lt I got mine (4 footers) at the big orange box store, in the fencing aisle; they look like this.

Steel posts are much less at Home Depot.

They are also called U posts or T posts(describes the shape of the end of the psot), T posts usually being stronger & longer.

OK thanks - I'll get them at Home Depot then. This is it, right?

Yes if that is the size you want. I think the 3 ft is the total length, the length above the ground would be about 2 ft. Personally I like the longer ones.
