They have some cool ideas.. I like the homemade heated seed starter tray:
Does anyone know if rope lights give off the same amount of heat as the bulb strings? Seems like the rope light would be more even heat...

I made the rope-light-heater-tray last winter... works great. I made a 4' version similar to this:

Re: rope lights
Look at the rope lights. Make sure that you are getting incandescent lights, NOT LED's, as LED's are low power, with little heat dissipation, thus, are NOT what you want. I hadn't thought of using lights this way. Someone gave me an ugly yard sign that I accepted, because it had rope lights on it. NOW I know why I 'needed' it...

Hoggar - the link in my original post in this thread is the link. However, it seems not to be working right now. I'll keep trying it and/or try to find out why it is not working.

Re: Frugal Farmer site
Here is another site about SFG. In the upper right of the screen is a link to more pages.
Anne of Green Gardens
And this is another farming site with great info: Homestead Survival
I've gone back a whole week and cannot find 1 post by Frugal Farmer! I think they had been having a problem and may be down to fix it.
Will keep searching.

Our 33 foot long 240 volt Ac stepped down to 12 volts AC rope light consume 300 watts with respect to 240 volts per hour when all four colours are switched on , so around 75 watts per channel for me .
Look on the sequence controller box ...it should give you the required information

I am seeing the link as http://tinyurl.com/chgmty5.........the chgmy5 probably means you linked to the image location of the photo (which is being stored somewhere on facebook) and not the actual site itself.

I also have a FB acct.
Just tried it again and got this:
"This content is currently unavailable
The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may have expired, or you may not have permission to view this page.
Return home"
Also clicked on the link you gave and still cannot get it. Are you a Hogwart student? LOL

That confirms it...the photo being linked to is being stored on face book....you have to have an account with facebook to see photos stored on face book.... that is why you can see it and others cant.
What probably happened is SwampCatNanna saw photo on the frugal farmer site she liked and double clicked it to expand the size and then linked to the photo .....its not uncommon for some websites to redirect you to another website (like facebook, flickr, photobucket) for images when you click on them to expand the size.
@SwampCatNana.....the reason you might not being seeing it now even though you have a FB account is frugal farmer could be messing around with their image files on facebook.

Works for me. Tried it then, tried it now, tried the original tinyurl link, tried the actual facebook link. Everything works, all the time. For me.
What is it that everybody wants to see anyway? Here's a screen shot:
