I hope that helps
Thanks for the link! I wish I was handier, I like that one with the compound miter joints. Alas, I need something more low tech .

Re: Western Mountain High Plains What are you doing in your gardens today?
Happy Mothers Day! My younger son and his family came over today and we had a bbq. I took my grandsons out into the veggie garden area and they were very excited to see the peas, lettuce and spinach growing. I pulled up one of the radishes and they were more excited than me to see it. Hopefully, they will come by more often and actually get to play in the dirt and "grow" things. The weather here in Pueblo was picture perfect. Its days like this that I treasure.

I planted a second square of radishes, and a square each of Mizuna and Tatsoi.
Also mixed another 3 cubic feet of Mel's Mix, about all I can handle each day by myself.
Tomorrow will be lettuce, bok choi, broccoli, and whatever else I can think of, plus some more mixing. Ouch, my aching back!
A brief cold snap is in the forecast.

My DH and sons built the foundation for my greenhouse project while I built the walls. Then a thunderstorm came up with mostly wind so we tied it all down. I will work on digging out the grass tomorrow. I will prefer doing that before putting the roof on.
I can see the day coming that the tomatoes will have a home. SOON. Which is good because some of them need to be potted up other ways.

Re: Western Mountain High Plains What are you doing in your gardens today?
I planted the cucumber seedlings that were a test for viability today. They all germinated. Still waiting on the zucchini.
Planted the containers for the front. They have geraniums, spike plants and petunias in them. Funny thing, I never knew that petunias have a scent, when I was hardening them off, I brought them in one night and they smelled pretty good.
Gonna wait for it to cool down a little bit and plant the tomatoes in containers. Looked at the long range forecast and the lows for the area hovering around 48-50 F. They should be ok. Still hardening off the peppers and eggplants. They should be good to go by next week.
