Tomatoes and Peppers
When should I start hardening so I can transplant outside. I have some tomato plants that are now getting pretty big, 8-9 inches.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Tomatoes and Peppers
I think in your area you would be able to plant the outside sometime in the later half of May. I looked into this a little bit so I am fairly certain but maybe someone a little closer to your zone could pass on a little more advice! Good work on your tomato stars!

Southern NH says Memorial Day
Others in my area and even in Maine shoot for a Memorial Day planting for the tomatoes and peppers. I had to ask too, and Memorial Day was their reply. This means we must hang in there another 3 weeks at least. *shew* It's hard to wait.

That's pretty much what I've planned; took a couple vacation days so I can enjoy it. Some people shoot for Mother's Day, but Memorial Day is fine for me. My grow light is hanging on a serious slant to accommodate the taller plants, doesn't seem to bother them.
Thanks,
