Scored alpaca poop!! And will the kinds I get be enough for the 5?
Can I use it straight away and use it as one of my 5 composts? It is mixed with straw from their bedding area...is that ok? I asked and he promised that the straw was dried very well before being used.
I am so excited about it but my poor husband just did not understand but still went along with it. I googled alpaca plus the local region here and found an alpaca farm about 1 hour from here. So hubby and I had a lovely drive in the country and bagged up poop for free!!
I am also getting rabbit poo this week and was given a mix of fresh cow and chicken, so I am trying a quick compost method and hope it is ready in 1 month. And we checked the area on the other side of our fence. We have been dumping our grass in piles there for 3 years. I decided to turn them in teh hopes that they will compost in time. Under the oldest pile was the most beautiful black earthy smelling dirt!
So my 5 would be
Alpaca (use fresh right?)
Rabbitt (use fresh right?)
Cow (after composted)
Chicken (after composted)
Black dirt from composted grass

And yes I was so excited when I got ahold of the alpaca guy. I had to use google translate to help me write to him but I did well!
