My birth mother (as opposed to my mother Earth!) kept me out of school on the first Earth Day so that she and I could join the group of people spending the day at the town Common, holding signs and wearing arm-bands.

I remember that first earth day. There has actually been some progress. I also remember rivers on fire. If that's not a sign that things need fixing, I don't know what is. LOL.
