asparagus planting
i order my asparagus ,25 crowns. Can i plant them 1 per square foot ? my first garden.

I planted my 12 crowns 1 per square last year. I have 1 bare spot, but the rest made it just fine. It will take a few years for them to fill in well but that is the nature of asparagus. It is a long-term crop. Plant it where you want it to stay for the next 15-20 years!
