Ground cherries very slow to grow?

This is my first try with ground cherries, but it has been weeks, and the sprouts have either died or stopped growing. Are these usually difficult/slow to grow, or is this starter mix just lousy?(The peppers and eggplants I planted in it aren't growing either. Sad

Should I move the seedlings to a richer mix? I did that for tomatoes and they suddenly started thriving.

Starter mix is light on nurients so the plants can break through easier. As soon as the plants are up and have a few leaves, they need to have more food. Either up pot to a richer mix, set out in the garden, or give some weak fertilizer water.
