Slug Eggs??

This morning I found what looked to be eggs of some kind on the
underside of the leaves on my okra plant. They were not on the zucchini
and basil plants nearby. They were clear and almost looked like little glass
spheres with nothing inside. At first I thought they might be miniscule droplets of water but they were hard. From searching I think they are slug eggs. Has anyone seen these before? Sorry I didn't take any pictures as I was in a rush this morning before work. I have been very diligent about fighting the caterpillars and I have found lots of them but I have not seen any slugs in or near my garden during the day or night. Tonight I will try a beer trap; I used a beer trap last year as a precaution and didn't catch anything. Does anyone know if this could be some other type of pest?

When I was working my fill-dirt clay-based garden (18 years ago) I found the same thing, only they were in the dirt, and opaque white and in a sac. Thinking they were benefitial, I carefully moved them to save places. Until they started to hatch, and were...

snails!

Then I went on a prolonged snail hunting spree. Now I rarely have them. We pullled out a bush in that area that has been there 30 years, and there were no snails in the area. (We aerated 1.5' deep and 3' across.)

The ID in Yahoo Images said that they were also snail eggs. Could be slugs...one has a shell, one doesn't.

They were not on clumps there were individual eggs spaced apart from each other like the picture above. I can only guess it is slug eggs based on what I have found but I didn't catch or see any slugs last year and have not seen and slugs or evidence of slugs this year. Hopefully I can catch something in the beer trap tonight.

Slug Eggs are laid on or near the soil surface, but are always deposited in
places of concealment, such as underneath mulch, dead leaves, rocks,
flower pots, trash, and boards. Particularly preferred are spots where
the nature of the cover keeps the surroundings relatively cool and
moist. These eggs were found underneath tree bark lying on the forest
floor during the first week of April; they have overwintered and are
near hatching. New slug eggs are transparent.

Thanks Turan. Their physical appearance makes me think they are slug eggs from pictures I have found online. The problem is that everything else like the location, not seeing any slugs or evidence and no clumping of eggs makes me question that and think they are something else.

Well I'll be a monkeys uncle. I searched but I don't think I used "okra" in any of my searches. Thanks very much. Apparently those beads are a result of a healthy plant. Woho!
