Black Friday sale at Home Dept til 4/1
For veggies and herbs, they are all half off from Thurs to April 1st for the Black Friday sale.
Even in Maine we had some seedlings for sale. I got rosemary and curled-leaf parsley plants today along with 4-packs of Swiss chard and Brussels sprouts. They also had cilantro, broccoli, cabbages, and strawberry plants which I didn't need. They may have had another one or two I forgot but didn't need either.
In your area of the world they'll have veggies and herbs that are compatible to the weather so get yourself out there and shop for bargains.
Good luck.

Thanks for posting this! I may have to make a run to our closest Home Depot and see what they have. Of course, if I do go there, I'm going to have to buy something. It's about 25 miles away so gotta make it worth the gas!

I got leeks, cilantro, and a green pepper plant all for 50%. And what was really cool was the pepper plant was in a small container, but bigger than the ones in bigger containers. But they charge you based on the size of the container. I think I paid $.94 for it. I actually hate green peppers, but figured I could use them blended in recipes. Plus my mom likes them. They had all the cold weather crops for 50% off as well, but I already have too many of those.

I found a really good video that has a few tips on how you can best take advantage of Home Depots Black Friday sale.
I really like the tip he has at the end of the video explaining how Lowes will not only price match sale items from the Home Depot if you bring in a physical copy of the Home Depot ad with the price of the item listed in it.....but will also take an additional 10% off!
He managed to get starts at 60% at off at Lowes because he could prove they had the exact same brand of seedlings (Bonnies) on sale at the Home Depot!
Cool!

I stopped by today to look. I got three 5" herbs (peppermint, sweet basil, and rosemary), the biggest baby green bell pepper plant I could see (for 49 cents!!), a 9 tray of romaine lettuce, and a bottle of diet coke for under $10. I currenting am trying to start my own romaine lettuce, but when I saw the little 9 pack (which I thought was a 6 pack until I got home lol) I figured I'd go ahead and get them just in case. I've still got a square or two empty so if my lettuce seeds sprout they still have a place to go to.

Average Last Frost for my area is March 21 - 31. I found another site that says April 16, but we haven't seen below 40 even at night in like three weeks lol.
