Plant sale at Home Depot - SCORE!!
We decided to stop at our local HD this afternoon and found all of the herbs & veggies from Bonnie's up to 4.5" pots on sale for $2 each.
Picked up 8 heirlooms on my list I wanted to try, some Roma's for DH, and a 4" pot of yellow watermelon with SEVEN seedlings. (Good thing we like watermelon...!)
I know Bonnie's isn't organic, but at least most of what we got was heirloom and in great shape.

Re: Plant sale at Home Depot - SCORE!!
I'm glad you got some good deals. I posted this sale elsewhere on this forum but here in Maine we are so late to spring that the only things available were a few cole crops, spinach, chard, chives and some very tiny tomatoes. I was more interested in herbs but they had NONE yet. I hope they have a similar sale locally a few weeks from now.

Re: Plant sale at Home Depot - SCORE!!
Thanks, Quiltbea! I appreciate it. So much I still have to learn about this forum. But I'm having a lot of fun!
I can't imagine what it would be like to have to start so late and end so early. I think I'd HAVE to have a good-sized greenhouse. What can I say? I'm a GRITS. (Girl Raised In The South)

Hurry! The HD sale might end today...according to one of the HD employees in So Cal. I asked on Sunday and that person wasn't totally sure, but that's what she said.

Re: Plant sale at Home Depot - SCORE!!
Talk about a score from Home Depot. I saw the rep for Colorama plants pulling some of the scraggly curly parsley and other plants. She said the policy dictates they have to be tossed or sold to a customer for full price. Well, as we were leaving, I saw her loading her van with the pulled plants and she gave me 4 nice (nice to me) parsley plants for free. Once they were removed from the store, she could give them away. Score!
