Duct tape on greenhouse plastic

Hi everyone...

What has been your experience using duct tape on greenhouse-grade plastic?

These guys seem to have done it successfully, but ya never know how long it lasted or how effective it was:

Is the coloured duct tape any better/worse than regular ole gray duct tape?

Inquiring minds want to know... I'm making a 6' x 2' row cover out of PVC and want an easy (idiot-proof - LOL) way to get the plastic on there well....
