Hi. I've been gardening for a few years, but my best success was in 2003 when I first moved here. Every year it's hit and miss. One year I get lots of squash, the next nothing. Last year it was tomatoes and blueberries (in containers) and squash in my SFG. I'm trying using trellises this year for my beans and peas this year like the ones in Mel's book. Also bought some mushroom compost as I read it's better than regular compost. We shall see.

Sadears,

Glad to have you here and we invite you to keep us posted on your progress.

Are you now using the ALL NEW SQUARE FOOT GARDENING method that Mel updated in his 2006 publication (yes the title is in all capital letters)?

Regarding your mushroom compost, here is a link to preparing the best ever >> MELS MIX .

Welcome sadears!! I'm up the road from you a bit in the Loveland/Ft Collins area.

Here is our regional forum:

Not as much action in our region as some, but there is some good info to be had there.
Again, welcome!
