I was in Ireland a few years ago and snapped the photo that is my avatar. I also snapped this in the window of a public house. ahhh. I could use a pint just about now!

I decided on a pic from my garden, these are my winter microgreen mix sprouts, some of them look a bit like clover, does that count?

I forgot all about changing my avatar until today. I decided to use a picture of my son in Ireland in front of the ruins of a castle. I hope to go to Ireland someday.

I have a question about avatars. Where do you find them?
can you use cool pictures you find on the internet
I did search FAQ and did not find anything about avatars?
thanks

Gwn, if you don't want to use one of your own, you can always go into profile then avatars and at the bottom of the box choose the avatar gallery.
You can use images on your computer as well. Again, profiles>avatar>choose file, then find the picture you want and open. It will upload and then save. You can also use images hosted by image hosting sites, photobucket, imageshack, etc. by copying and pasting the image url.
Google "avatars" you'll have plenty to choose from
