Cole crops inhibiting seed germination?

Cole crops inhibiting seed germination?
I just read a blurb somewhere about cole crops leaving behind a chemical in the soil that inhibits seed germination. Apparently, this chemical is gone after a season, but...
I have cabbage and broccoli still growing in one bed, and my plan was to plant my peas and radishes in that spot in a few weeks.
Since I've never read this anywhere else, I'm wondering if there's anything to it or if I should just plant as planned.
Anyone here have any thoughts?

I don't know anything about it, and radishes are such tiny seeds to deal with, but if this is true, peas can be spouted before planting. I just received some "sprouted" key lime seeds from a nursery. Just had to get them in soil (cups of MM) right away. They came packed in a small plastic baggie wrapped in a wet paper towel.

Personal and limited experience - my first sfg was 2010 Fall planting. It was stuffed with mostly cole crops. The following Spring, summer and fall I planted lots of other stuff with very good results.
